Random Finnish word: Hurme
Hurme means blood, it’s not a common word. Veri is used mostly when talking about blood in general. But some positive and even romantic words have a bit hurme-blood in them:
Hurmaava - Charming, enchanting
Hurmata - To seduce, charm
It could have been that back in the days Finns described the feeling of love literally to cause blood rushing and blushing… Which is quite cute.
unlimitedsexting asked: are you taking comissions currently? and have you done work for tattoos before? i'm a huge fan of your canines.
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoy my drawings~
Unfortunately, I’m not offering any kind of commissions at the moment, I simply lack the time to complete them. I’ve designed a couple of tattoos as gifts for people I know, but never as commissioned work.
I’d like to remind everyone that using my personal artwork (or the things I’ve created for friends and allies) for tattooing is prohibited.
Anonymous asked: Pardon me but what does 'macabre' mean? It is it referring to something that is black and white/has bones and skeletal structures in the picture?
I’m glad you asked!
ma·ca·bre adjective \mə-ˈkäb; -ˈkä-brə, -bər; -ˈkäbrə\
involving death or violence in a way that is strange, frightening, or unpleasant
1: having death as a subject : comprising or including a personalized representation of death
2: dwelling on the gruesome
3: tending to produce horror in a beholder
As you many have noticed, my blog does contain a certain amount of blood, horror, mild gore and bodily remains, as well as other things that might make one feel uneasy or spooked. If I think that something I post could make someone lose their good night’s sleep, I tag it as “macabre”. If you wish to avoid seeing such kind of content, you can blacklist the tag.
